Chemiewerk Rüdersdorf

….is an abandoned chemical factory site about an hour East of Berlin in Rüdersdorf. It was opened in 1899 as a hyper-modern cement factory. Since then, it has been used to create engine fuel in World War II, then became the main production site for animal feed and other chemicals needed for farming before it shut down in 1999. It is now is eerily abandoned, but a popular site for film makers and tourists alike.
